Political Hungar Games

Are you tired?  Not just tired…tired to your core.  Do you cringe when the alarm goes off in the morning and drag yourself through the day looking forward only to the time when you can crawl back into bed?  Do you go through each day, each week, mentally checking off each task with no enjoyment or enthusiasm?   I'm tired and I know many, many others who are too.  The cause could be over work, anemia, depression, vitamin deficiency, illness.  But none of these possibilities can explain the large number of people who suffer from this tired, used up feeling.

Like the contestants in the Hunger Games (See link below), Americans have become pawns in an ongoing competition played by elitist politicians ravenous to see us fight each other to the death.  Our representatives are no longer representing us.  They are using us for their own advancement in the war for power.  At first they stole the small things…a little at a time... that made our everyday lives endurable. When we barely noticed and did not complain, they ramped up the stakes to an enormous level.  While the government wreaks havoc on our economy and freedoms, they pit us against one another…that’s the plan.

So what is the antidote for this “illness?”  The answer is to see each other as the cure…to stop fighting each other and vanquish the cancer that has invaded our country.  We need to place the blame where it actually resides.  As Charley Reese puts it,

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don't propose a federal budget.  The president does.

You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.

You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.”

It's time to seek out our own Mockingjay!
