Merely a Diversion

Congress needs to stop the grandstanding diversions like Joe Wilson and get their heads into what we pay them to do. Their passive-aggressive activity just succeeds in making them look immature and incapable of determining important priorities.

Barack Obama may be the greatest setback to racial relations the country has seen in the last 75 years and it’s being caused by his own supporters. The term “racist” is being screamed from the halls of Congress to the pulpits of neighborhood churches by liberals who are desperate to stop the bleeding of their liberal causes. They have all been put on notice…anything goes! As Saul Alinsky writes in Rules for Radicals, “In a fight almost anything goes. It almost reaches the point where you stop to apologize if a chance blow lands above the belt.” Bill Clinton used the tactic in the 1990’s:

After the [Clinton] Administration's fundraising scandal broke, a Commerce Department memo recommended attacking Republicans and other critics of the scandal as being anti-Asian. ---National Center for Public Policy Research Arturo Silva, June 1977.)

Now they are at it again, using Jimmy Carter as the herald. Carter has made such outrageous statements in the past few years that one must wonder if his thought processes have deteriorated even further than when he was in office. However, he can throw “racist” into the fray for the liberals without damaging their own public image, so they pulled him out onto public stage yet one more time.

WASHINGTON -- Eric Holder, the nation's first black attorney general, said Wednesday the United States was "a nation of cowards" on matters of race, with most Americans avoiding candid discussions of racial issues…..Even when people mix at the workplace or after work social events, Holder argued, many Americans in their free time are still segregated inside what he called "race-protected cocoons." (Foxnews.com)

Holder's speech echoed President Barack Obama's landmark address when he urged the nation to break "a racial stalemate we've been stuck in for years" and bemoaned the "chasm of misunderstanding that exists between the races."

So….who do you suppose Mr. Holder will be hanging out with this weekend? Do you think he'll search out a group of white supremacists in a sports bar and engage them in a conversation about how they should adjust their thinking to embrace the black community? I don’t think so. Holder and other prominent black politicians and “leaders” fail to understand what really brings people together… believing in and sharing the same principles and interests, morally, ethically and intellectually. I would not invite a group of white supremacists to a weekend barbeque anymore than I would invite black supremacists. I would not frequent a gay bar looking for companionship because I am not gay. I would not look forward to an evening at the local sportsman’s club because I neither hunt nor fish.

Holder and other self-righteous "leaders" like him want the world to believe that they have been oppressed by the white community, whose job it is to repent and make reparations—not because he believes it, but because guilt and the fear of being labelled a racist are big motivators in getting people to do what you want them to do. And what he wants us to do is accept this President and his administration without question. Only a racist would question Obama.

In her senior thesis at Princeton, Michele Obama wrote:
“As I enter my final year a Princeton, I find myself striving for many of the same goals as my White classmates—acceptance to a prestigious graduate school or a high-paying position in a successful corporation…” She cited the University’s conservative values as a likely cause. – Daily Princtonian

Would she have been happier had she not achieved these “White” goals?
